I have a large stainless steel set of cookware and had some odds and ends of non-stick for many years. I wanted to replace my old non-stick but didn't want to pay the price of some of the higher end brands. This cookware has a nice weight to it and fits the purpose just fine. I've been able to do some required high temperature cooking without sticking or burning. The only drawbacks for me would be that I wish the set included a 12" frying pan (w/lid) in lieu of the dutch oven. Also, it would be nice if it was dishwasher safe, but it is so easily cleaned that small negative shouldn't deter a purchase.
I have had these pots and pans for about 2 months now. They clean easy, stuff doesn't seem to get stuck to them, and food cooks very quickly. Water begins boiling after about 30 seconds if my stove is on high. I know it says your not supposed to, but I do dish-wash mine and they are fine and come out clean. Also even though I've used a sharp knife once or twice to cut something in the pan no scratches. I usually base my purchases from amazon on the item ratings and this one had a high rating so that's why I ordered this set when I moved into my own place. So far I am pleased! In addition to this set I also purchased one larger frying pan and one small one.
