I just got my speakers today and I'm absolutely impressed and stand in awe of the quality of sound. The output is somewhat similar to my $2500 entertainment center speakers (I'm not kidding). I'm no audio expert but I know quality when I hear it and these speakers deliver. The best part is the PRICE! You get so much for so little; it is worth the "sacrifice" of $25 or better yet the "steal" for $25. For some of us, $25 is 1/4 of the price of gas going into our SUVs.
One last thing my wife listened to the speakers and she had to agree they were the best speakers she had heard in a long time for a computer. Hey, if my wife enjoys them they got to be good because she isn't a "gadget" person like her geeky husband. She's honest with a good ear for music.

I bought these speakers based on other reviews and was very disappointed--so disappointed that I'm going to try to return them to Amazon. The high end is crisp but the mid to bass response is flat and very separated from the highs. The subwoofer is terrible. The bass adjust knob is poorly scaled. That is, the knob does nothing until the last 1/4 of the range, then the bass suddenly kicks in. I'd recommend trying a different model.
I agree with everyone who says that the sound quality is great. It is. I read many of the reviews before buying it. But I wish someone had told me to take extra precautions with the little round volume controller. The way they have it set up sounds great on paper--they have a controller attached to a cord that you can place anywhere on your desk for your convenience. However, the thing won't stay in one spot unless you tape it. The wires holding on to it drag it around. And, the first time it fell from my desk to the floor, the controller broke--the top came off. I put the piece back on, but the volume control has never worked the same since.
I couldn't believe that they had made it so easily breakable! I would still recommend these speakers, due to the excellent sound quality and the awesome low price. However, please please please duct tape the volume controller down as soon as you set it up, so it doesn't fall and break for you, too!
